Toastmasters is an international not for profit organization which helps people improve their communication and leadership skills. Toastmasters has clubs all over the world which hold weekly meetings at specified locations.
The organization currently has more than 260,000 members in over 12,500 clubs in 113 countries. Since its founding in October 1924, by Ralph C. Smedley in Santa Ana, California, the organization has helped more than 4 million men and women lead and communicate with poise and confidence. Today, organizations around the world recognize the value of incorporating Toastmasters training to help employees improve their communication and leadership skills.
Each Toastmaster meeting is self lead by clubs wherein every member contributes by the way of playing certain 'roles' every week. All the activity done by the members enhance speaking, listening and leadership abilities.
JPKU Toastmasters is one of the many clubs of Toastmasters which meets every Saturday in New Delhi. It is one of the leading community toastmasters club in New Delhi,India. It was established on 2nd December 2005.
We hold meetings every Saturday at 11:15 AM in Safdarjung Development Area.We have members from different walks of life which is what makes the club extremely diverse and very lively! We learn from each other.
What is special about our club is the kind of togetherness that is impossible to miss if you visit any of our meetings. We act more like a family, and help each other overcome our weaknesses and appreciate our strengths.
